Content:

This module introduces the theoretical foundations and practical applications of goal-setting frameworks in drama therapy, including their empirical assessment and evaluation in both oral and written formats. Students develop competencies in observing, formulating, and analyzing therapeutic goals based on established practical and theoretical models. The module consists of two courses: 305-060 Drama Therapy Methods IV – Developing Therapeutic Goals and 304-071 Therapeutic Communication and Group Dynamics II.

Content – Drama Therapy Methods IV: Developing Therapeutic Goals

  • Introduction to goal-setting frameworks in drama therapy and psychotherapy literature, and their practical application
  • Integration of empirical assessment approaches with embodiment and drama therapy research, applied to practice-based learning contexts
  • Introduction to and application of drama therapy methods in group settings using selected case studies

Therapeutic Communication and Group Dynamics II

  • Communication techniques for complex clinical presentations and challenging therapeutic situations
  • Advanced development of individual therapeutic communication competencies
  • Group dynamics and relational processes in therapeutic settings
  • Introduction to an advanced intervention approach derived from psychotherapeutic modalities (e.g., Gestalt therapy, Transactional Analysis, etc.)
