Content:

In practical training sessions, students become familiar with a range of scenic materials. They gain initial experience in stage technology, set design, lighting design, costume, and props. Students explore different scenic settings in combination and interaction with other performative media (text, objects, sound, sculpture, image, video, etc.). They acquire foundational skills in acting for the camera (photography and film), the microphone (radio drama, sound, and music), and new media.

  • Practical exploration of various scenic materials
  • Dialogical approaches to composition, improvisation, and recontextualization
  • Acting and performance in and with media technologies
  • Social media performances
  • Multimedia vs. intermedial compositional approaches
  • Use of artistic media (film, video, radio drama, sound, projections, etc.)
  • Practice-based and theoretical exploration of intermediality and performativity and their interrelations
  • Film and audio editing
