This module consists of two integrated courses: Artistic Practice and Contemporary Art Positions I

Artistic Practice supports the refinement of each student’s individual artistic process through professional use of materials and media, independent research, conceptual planning, and experimental approaches. Group discussions and detailed artwork analyses strengthen critical reflection and dialogue skills.

Contemporary Art Positions I introduces key developments in art history from the 1960s to the present and fosters the ability to analyze and contextualize contemporary artistic positions. Special attention is given to artistic positions relevant to art therapy, as well as to exhibition concepts and exhibition reviews.
