Content:

This course focuses on the targeted continuation and the content-related and formal refinement of each student’s individual artistic process. It emphasizes the professional use of materials and media within artistic work and the ability to communicate and convey personal artistic approaches and self-developed methods. Students are encouraged to reflect upon and articulate their own artistic practice within the context of contemporary artistic concepts, and to represent their work in a differentiated and informed manner. The course also develops the ability to present one’s artistic work appropriately in both visual and written form, and to engage competently in dialogue within the artistic discourse.

• Further development of the individual artistic approach through one-on-one critiques
• Discursive group discussions on artistic work
• Detailed analysis of artworks with regard to form and content
• Professionalization in the use of chosen media and techniques
• Presentation of individual artistic works
• Written reflection on one’s own artistic practice
• Catalogue preparation: text and image presentation of individual artistic work
