NÜRTINGEN (NGU). This year, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Award at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences (NGU) goes to the Italian student Laura Consortini. The economist is a double-degree student in the Master’s program in International Finance at HfWU and the Master’s program in Banca, Finanza Aziendale e Mercati Finanziari at the University of Pisa.
According to the university, Consortini was recognized for her outstanding problem-solving and communication skills, excellent subject knowledge, and excellent examination results. In addition, she has consistently been active in extracurricular activities.
At NGU, Consortini participated in events for international students. She also supported new international students upon their arrival, assisting them with organizing accommodation and planning activities during their stay abroad. Together with her fellow students, she supports the program coordinators responsible for the double-degree arrangement between the two universities. In Italy, Laura Consortini is a member of the Rotaract Club Pontedera, through which she participates in organizing events aimed at supporting and enhancing the local community.
The “DAAD Award for Outstanding Achievements of Foreign Students at German Universities” carries a prize of 1,000 euros per university. The DAAD award, presented by a consortium of German universities, aims to put a face to the many international students studying at German universities. At NGU, the award is presented once a year.
