Content:

This course equips students with the skills to independently conceptualize and execute innovation projects, blending theoretical foundations with hands-on application. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of innovation management, business planning, and project management, and learn to apply these concepts to real-world challenges through concrete, collaborative projects.

Key topics include:

  • Fundamental terms, characteristics, types, and objectives of innovation management

  • Development and execution of innovation strategies

  • Innovation processes as the core of innovation management

  • Key influencing factors and levers for innovation success

  • Financial planning and profitability analysis for innovation projects

International Collaboration Component:
The course includes a strong international and intercultural element.

  • Summer Semester: Students will travel to either the University of Pisa (Italy) or Babeș-Bolyai University (Romania), where they will work in international teams on innovation projects, gaining firsthand experience in a cross-cultural academic and professional environment.

  • Winter Semester: While no travel is involved, students will engage in virtual collaboration with peers from California State University Monterey Bay (USA), through online meetings and group work, fostering global teamwork and digital project coordination skills.
